The Old Mutual Equity Fund (the Fund) is a general equity fund that aims to provide capital growth potential and protection against inflation. The Fund targets to invest in a diversified portfolio of listed equities (80%) on the Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE), money market (10%), offshore listed equities (5%), and onshore unlisted equities (5%). This is a high-risk Fund which is suitable for long-term investors. This Fund is suitable for individual and institutional investors who can withstand potential capital volatility in the shorter term, with the expectation of higher returns in the medium to long term (minimum of 3 years).


Initial fee: Nil
There is no upfront fee to get started, which means your full investment begins working for you from day one.
Annual service fee: 2.0%
An annual service fee of 2.0% is charged as a percentage of the Fund value.

To increase your investment, make a direct deposit or electronic funds transfer into our bank account, using your Name and Unit Trust account number as the transaction reference. Email us your additional investment instructions together with the proof of payment.

You can switch between funds at any time. By switching between funds, you are selling and then buying units; you may have to pay fees if you switch from a fund with a lower entry fee than the fund you are buying into.

Note:
You will have access to our web portal and mobile application to track your investment. We will also send you monthly statements, within one week of the end of each month. The statements will show any transactions during the period and the value of your investments as at the date of the statement.
